What is Veri™ Brand Cooking Oil?
Veri brand cooking oil is a soybean oil specially designed for high-heat cooking, meaning it is stable at high temperatures. It has a light taste so that the flavors of your food creations shine though, and with 10 grams of omega-9 fatty acids per serving*, it is a choice you can feel good about.
How is Veri made?
Veri is made from soybeans grown by U.S. farmers in a traceable, transparent supply chain, so you can be confident in the food you’re buying. The soybeans used to make Veri are grown using our proprietary seeds, which have been traditionally bred to contain uniquely high levels of omega-9s, meaning they were created without using GMOs. These special seeds have been independently certified as Non-GMO Project Verified (look for the logo!). We’re proud of our farmers, and we value the craftsmanship they bring to Veri.

Veri is designed for high-heat cooking thanks to its high levels of heart-healthy omega-9s†. These heart-healthy fatty acids improve the oil’s stability, or its resistance to oxidation when exposed to heat, air, or light, causing off colors and flavors. What does this mean? Why does Veri have such a light taste?
Soybeans have a mild taste, which is why they are used in many plant-based beverages and foods. The same can be said for Veri. Other better-for-you oils, such as olive, coconut and avocado oil have unique flavors that might not always suit your dish. Other traditional cooking oils may offer a neutral taste without being a source of heart-healthy omega-9s†. With Veri, you don’t have to compromise on taste or health.
Why do I need Veri in my pantry?
We consider Veri the best way to upgrade your pantry. Unlike some better-for-you oils that smoke at lower temps and/or impart strong flavors, Veri offers a neutral flavor profile that works equally well for pan searing and cookie baking (and everything in between). While many traditional cooking oils offer a neutral taste, they do not serve as a source of heart-healthy omega-9s†.

†Supportive but not conclusive scientific evidence suggests that daily consumption of about 1½ tablespoons (20 grams) of oils containing high levels of oleic acid, when replaced for fats and oils higher in saturated fat, may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. To achieve this possible benefit, oleic acid-containing oils should not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day. One serving of high oleic soybean oil provides 10 grams of oleic acid (which is 11 grams of monounsaturated fatty acid).
